Our Mission
Our Mission is to provide a loving home/workplace
for adults with developmental disabilities where they may reach their full potential spiritually, physically, mentally, and vocationally. Who Are We
Quest Farm, Inc. is a working farm community where adults with developmental disabilities live in a nurturing and enriching
environment. Each individual is encouraged to attain their full potential in every aspect of their life. The educated and knowledgeable staff
encourages and trains individuals to be farmers with skills in areas such as gardening, horticulture, landscaping, crafts, woodworking,
cottage industries, vegetable production, animal care, retailing, equipment use and maintenance, lawn care, etc. The vocational and
educational skills we teach are two-fold.
One, it allows the farmers in training, to be productive citizens and contribute as much as they can to society. Two, it gives the farmers in
training, a sense of pride and accomplishment when they see that they have helped stock the store with flowers and crafts, or sold
vegetables at the farmer's market or to the local grocery store. Quest Farm also gives each farmer the opportunity to become part of a loving
family-like atmosphere that is Christian based, in their home as well as their workplace. The farmers live in one of the three residential
homes with a set of House Managers. There are six farmers per house. All meals and special activities are shared together, to build trust,
friendship, and enhance the loving, caring family-like atmosphere.
Quest Farm is an independent non-profit organization and is designated as a 501 (c) (3) organization by the Internal Revenue
Service. There is a rotating Board of Directors from the Central Kentucky area monitoring the financial and operational aspects of the farm. Quest
Farm is made possible through the generous contributions from businesses and foundations, civic organizations, individuals, and churches. All contributions
are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the IRS code.
