Adult Day Training

The Adult Day Training (ADT) program at Quest Farm is very unique and unparalleled in the region.  The program is composed of a combination of activities that are designed to promote independence and adaptability for the participants, utilized in a variety of settings. Essentially, the objective of the ADT program is for each participant to set appropriate goals for him or herself and for staff to help participants achieve their goals. During the ADT program, there are several “independent living classes,” where qualified instructors offer daily classes that promote and instill knowledge, confidence, and self esteem building courses for the ADT participants.

  • Delivering meals to homebound senior citizens
  • Working in several local retail stores such as the local Habitat Restore and Maintaining the Quest Farm Booth at Peddlers Mall
  • Planting, transplanting, and caring for greenhouse plants and mums
  • Picking asparagus
  • Woodworking (spinning pens, puzzle making, and more)
  • Equine Therapy, supervised by an industry expert at Fancy Step Farms.
  • Various other volunteer opportunities in the community that benefit our local schools, churches, and civic/social organizations

Undoubtedly, it’s obvious that Quest Farm is quite distinctive in its program philosophy compared to most typical ADT programs in the state.

* We emphasize the participants “Value”

* We understand and promote “Respect”

* We feel they deserve to know and understand their “Rights”

* We assist them in building a “Positive” foundation

* We hope that they acquire the skills necessary for them to realize a “successful”  future

Quest Farm ADT Program Vision:

It is our common belief that ALL residents in the program realize that they have “value” to society, deserve the “respect” given to non-cognitively challenged people, and become capable of realizing their “rights” to make appropriate choices that will positively affect their daily lives, and ultimately assist them in building a “successful” future.
